Title: Wreath of War
Artist: Svitlana Dudenko
Year: 2023
Dimensions: 100 x 100 cm
Medium: Acrylic and Oil Pastel on Canvas
In Wreath of War, the war is rendered through a system of colored circles. Red represents loss and sacrifice, blue stands for endurance and strength, and yellow evokes hope and renewal. The diptych forms the image of a wreath — a traditional Ukrainian emblem of remembrance, reimagined within KOS as a cosmic dimension. The composition balances tragedy and optimism, functioning as both a memorial and a visual amulet. It is a work about memory and protection — at once sacred and contemporary.
Executed in the KOS style, it holds collector’s value and symbolizes the direction.
