A superb Secessionist / Art Nouveau jug marrying luminous hand-engraved cobalt glass—depicting wild-rose (rosehip) and tulip motifs—with elegant white-metal mounts by AK & Cie, WMF’s Austrian subsidiary (acquired in 1900). Marked AK & Cie to the lid; comparable models appear in the WMF UK catalogue, 1906. Excellent antique condition: glass without damage; white metal with an even matte patina and remnants of gilding preserved.
