Description

This remarkable Antique Judaica Silver Hanukkah Oil Lamp Menorah, possibly crafted by the renowned workshop of Alexander Postnikov around 1878, is a stunning testament to 19th-century silversmithing and Jewish ceremonial art. Forged from 84 zolotnik silver, this menorah stands at 24 cm in height and 21 cm in width, with a substantial weight of 245.16 grams. The design features an elegant, symmetrical structure with nine intricately detailed oil lamps. The finial is crowned with a delicate sculptural element, adding to its regal presence.   The menorah bears the hallmarks of its era: the initials “В.С” for assayer Viktor Savinkov (active 1855-1888), the year “1878,” the mark “АП” for Alexander Postnikov, the St. George stamp, and the “84” purity mark, confirming its authenticity and provenance.  Though it exhibits partial darkening consistent with its age, the condition remains excellent, preserving its historical and artistic integrity. A rare and cherished artifact, this menorah is an essential acquisition for collectors of Judaica, antique silver, or those seeking a profound connection to Jewish heritage. Dimensions: 24 cm (H) x 21 cm (W), Weight: 245.16 grams. Hashtags #AntiqueMenorah, #JudaicaArt, #SilverHanukkahLamp, #JewishHeritage, #CeremonialArt, #AntiqueCollectibles, #HistoricalArtifacts
